Telling us about illegal content

Anyone, with or without an account, can use the notice form. It asks for the link, the reason, an explanation and a statement of good faith, and gives you a reference. A person reviews every notice, and if you gave an email address we email you the outcome while we still keep it (180 days). Someone who reported from their account is told whether we acted or found no breach. How we moderate explains what happens next.

Decisions, reasons and appeals

When a build, a collection, or a profile photo or cover is hidden, and whenever a person decides about someone's content or account — unpublishing, removing, warning, restricting, pausing generating, suspending or banning — the person affected gets a statement of reasons under Account standing: what was done, the rule it rests on, whether it was automated or decided by a person, until when, and any message from the person who decided. They are told by a notification and, unless they turned those emails off, by email; a suspended person, who cannot sign in, is emailed a private link to their statement. A pause of generating follows three confirmed breaches in 90 days and lasts 7 days, or 30 for a repeat within a year; anything already running finishes, and nothing is charged for a generation that could not start. A collection that moderation has held or removed is frozen until the review ends: its curator cannot change its title, description, tags, builds, order, captions or cover, cannot make it visible to more people or delete it, though making it more private stays open to them and closing the account still erases it.

A decision that does several things has a statement for each, and each statement can be appealed from there once, within six months of the decision and while that part still applies. The reviewer may reverse the whole decision or only the appealed part. A person reviews it again, usually within 3 working days. One of us reviews it and answers it alone — nothing waits for a second person. A decision can be reversed, and a sanction lifted early; the person is told each time.

Anyone affected by a decision can also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body, or to a court.

Minors, recommendations and advertising

bricknity is for people aged 13 and over; For teens describes how a teen account is protected. There is no advertising on bricknity.

How the feeds are ordered. Nothing on bricknity is ordered by a profile of you. Explore shows public builds newest first. Trending shows the builds with the most likes, then the most views. Buildable shows only builds that come with steps and a parts list, newest first. Following, in your library, shows builds from the people you follow. On each one you can change the order and narrow it down — by what a build was made with, whether it is buildable, and when it was published — and your choice is never stored as a profile.

Size and reports. bricknity is run by a micro enterprise, and the number of people who use it each month in the EU is far below 45 million, so it is not a very large online platform. The DSA's duties to publish transparency reports and user numbers do not apply to micro and small enterprises; if an authority asks for our numbers, we give them.

  • 1.0 · 2026年10月13日 (UTC) — Version 1.0, the first in force: the languages our points of contact accept, how the feeds are ordered and how to change them, and why the DSA's reporting duties do not apply to us.
  • draft-8 · 2026年10月10日 (UTC) — Draft 8: a collection that moderation has held or removed is frozen until the review ends: its curator cannot change its title, description, tags, builds, order, captions or cover, cannot make it visible to more people or delete it, though making it more private stays open to them and closing the account still erases it.
  • draft-7 · 2026年10月9日 (UTC) — Draft 7: pausing a person's generating is a decision — after three confirmed breaches in 90 days, 7 days, or 30 for a repeat within a year — with a statement of reasons and an appeal on Account standing, like the others.
  • draft-6 · 2026年10月9日 (UTC) — Draft 6: one of us reviews an appeal and answers it alone; a suspension or a ban no longer waits for a second person to confirm it, and keeping one on appeal no longer needs two of us.
  • draft-5 · 2026年10月8日 (UTC) — Draft 5: every moderation decision — about a build, a collection, a picture or an account — gets a statement of reasons naming the rule it rests on, and each part can be appealed within six months — the whole decision or only that part may be reversed: a person reviews it again — a decision one of us made by the other, while a suspension or a ban, which two of us made, needs both of us again to stand. A suspended person is emailed a private link to theirs. A notifier who gave an email address is told the outcome; a reporter is told whether we acted.
  • draft-4 · 2026年10月3日 (UTC) — Draft 4: a hidden profile photo or cover gets a statement of reasons and an appeal, as a build does; the profile and the account stay as they are.
  • draft-3 · 2026年10月2日 (UTC) — Draft 3: a hidden collection gets a statement of reasons and an appeal, as a build does.
  • draft-2 · 2026年9月30日 (UTC) — Draft 2: the provider's details say when they will be published.
  • draft-1 · 2026年9月28日 (UTC) — First draft for counsel.
