A guide for parents and guardians

bricknity is for people aged 13 and over; teen accounts are private by default and cannot buy anything, and there are no parental controls.

What bricknity is

A place to make brick creations with AI: 3D models from photos of something your child built, brick models with building instructions, and brick-style pictures. Everything made with AI carries an AI-generated label.

Who can have an account

People aged 13 and over. Sign-up asks for a date of birth first; under 13, no account is created and the details are not saved. The date of birth is used only to apply the right safety settings and is never shown.

How a teen account differs

For ages 13 to 17: everything they publish is private to them, their profile is not listed in search or on creator pages, and search engines are asked not to list it. Nothing can be bought on a teen account, so there is no subscription to cancel and no card to remove. See how a teen account works.

Uploading a photo of a person to make a figure is not available on a teen account. A teen can turn a minifig picture they made here into a 3D figure — no photo of anyone is involved.

What bricknity does not have

There are no parental controls, no linked parent account and no way for a parent to see a teen's activity. There are also no private messages and no comments.

Photos and AI

Photos and descriptions are sent to an external AI service to make the result; it never receives the child's name, email or date of birth. In Settings → Privacy the photos can be kept, cut down to a thumbnail, or deleted as soon as the build is made.

Reporting and moderation

A signed-in person can report any build; it is usually hidden straight away while a person reviews it, and most holds lift on their own within hours — at most 24 — unless a person decides first (how holds work). Reports about a child or physical safety are never released without review.

When a person decides about a teen's build or account, the teen is told why on Account standing and can appeal. The people who decide can see that an account is a teen's, so they can take care, but age is never itself a reason for a decision.

Asking us to close your child's account

If you are the parent or guardian of a teen with an account, or you believe a child under 13 has one, write to [email protected] with the handle or the email address the account uses. We check that the request describes that account and who you are to the child, and we may confirm it with you another way. One of our owners reviews it before anything happens.

When we close it, the account is signed out everywhere and hidden at once, and erased after 30 days; it cannot be reopened from the account itself. If it belongs to a child under 13, it is erased at once instead, and nobody can restore it. A copy of the account's data only ever goes to the account's own email address.

Talking to us

For a safety concern: [email protected], answered the same day. For your child's data, or if you believe a child under 13 has an account: [email protected], answered within 3 working days. Tell us the handle if you know it.
