How to appeal
- Open Account standing. Each thing a decision did has its own entry — a decision that unpublished a build and restricted your account has two. Each says what happened, the rule, whether it was automatic, and until when.
- Press Appeal and say why you think it is wrong.Add anything we may not have known. Your appeal is read by a person, never decided by a filter.
- Wait for the answer. It usually comes within 3 working days, as a notification and on Account standing, and by email unless you have turned those emails off.
The rules
- One appeal per entry. Each part of a decision can be appealed once, within six months of the decision, while that part still applies — except a pause on generating, which can be appealed for the whole six months even after it has ended, because it counts towards a longer pause next time.
- A second look. A person at bricknity looks at the decision again and answers your appeal — overturning it or keeping it — without waiting for anyone else.
- An appeal does not change a hold or its clock. A build that would come back on its own still does.
- If you are right, the reviewer can reverse the whole decision, or only the part you appealed — for example, lift the restriction and keep the build unpublished. Whatever is reversed comes back, unless you have deleted it since. If not, the decision stands and Account standing says so.
If your account is suspended
You cannot sign in, so we email your address a private link to your Account standing page, where you can appeal. Trying to sign in sends a fresh link, at most once an hour. Without it, write to [email protected] from the account's email address. See Account standing.
Outside bricknity
You can also take a decision to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or to a court. Appealing to us first does not stop you.
